Boomerangs of the Past...

Perhaps thousands of years in the future, Archaeologists will ponder time-faded images of "iphones" and theorize about how we ritually used them to send our prayers via text to sacred "Receiving Towers" dotting the landscape.  Would they be wrong?

Perhaps it's very easy to be so very wrong about past civilizations, especially when your desire is for a quick  answer to fit into a conspicuous blank.  Maybe Archaeology is really an inferior method to learn about Egyptians & Mayans.  We should ask our Receiving Towers about that.
